Frequently Asked Questions.

  • To begin your Pilates journey, it's important to start at a pace that feels right for your body. If you're new to Pilates, we recommend starting with our Beginner Series, which is designed to help you build a strong foundation. These classes will teach you the fundamental movements and help you develop the necessary strength and body awareness. Once you're comfortable with the basics, move on to the Intermediate Series, where you'll find a balanced challenge that helps you progress without feeling overwhelmed.

For those looking to take their practice to the next level, our Advanced Series offers more intense, dynamic sessions that will push your limits and elevate your strength and endurance.

Throughout your practice, we encourage you to revisit the Practice Your Form section for additional guidance and to refine your technique. Consistency and focus on form are key to progressing safely and effectively in Pilates. Whether you're just starting out or pushing for more intensity, always listen to your body and return to foundational movements as needed. This approach will ensure steady, long-term progress.

  • The equipment you choose will depend on your level and the type of class you're taking. If you're just starting out, it's perfectly fine to focus on bodyweight exercises - this is the best way to build a solid foundation and perfect your form. All of our classes can be done without equipment, especially in the early stages when the priority is mastering the movements. Once you’re comfortable, you might choose to incorporate light weights or resistance bands to add an extra challenge and enhance your strength-building.

Regardless of your level, the key is to select equipment that still allows you to maintain excellent form throughout each exercise. Remember, Pilates is all about controlled movement, and any equipment you use should support that.

Here’s a quick guide to the equipment used across the app:

    • The Mat: Essential for most classes to provide support and stability.

    • Hand / Ankle Weights: Ideal for adding resistance in specific classes, especially in strength-focused sessions.

    • Resistance Bands: Great for increasing resistance in both upper and lower body exercises.

    • The Ball: Used to engage deeper muscles and add challenge to certain movements.

    • Pilates Ring: Optional equipment for targeting specific muscle groups with added resistance.

  • The choice between monthly or annual really comes down to personal preference. However, with an annual plan, not only do you receive a 40% saving compared to monthly, but committing to a full year helps reinforce your dedication to your practice and long-term results. We know that real transformation happens with consistency, and an annual plan is a great way to stay fully committed to your journey.
